Growing Food Security in Alberta

What's New

S.E.L.R.System for Food in Alberta Rual Communities!
GFSA is pleased to share that our Sustainable, Equitable, Local, and Regenerative System for food (S.E.L.R.S.) initiative is proceeding swiftly. Currently completing an asset mapping and situational analysis, the Central Alberta region communities of Sylvan Lake, Lacombe, Innisfail, Stettler, Bentley / Gull Lake, Olds, and the urban community of Red Deer, are gathering in December to plan the next steps in 2012. This project will provide learning opportunities and economic and social benefits to the region, its citizens and others across Alberta. For the latest news on this initiative, visit and subscribe to our blog to find out how you can be involved!
